Our Year in Pictures

In January 2005, we placed quality of life at the top of our priorities and made the decision to move to Colorado in the summer. It seems we were debating the pros and cons of Pasadena and Boulder just yesterday - unbelievable how a year can pass so quickly. We hope you enjoy some of our images from 2005.

We couldn't leave California without a trip to the big island of Hawai'i (February):

Record rainfall in March brought a once-in-a-lifetime wildflower bloom in Death Valley and a great display in the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve:

[this salt pan was turned into a transient lake - Telescope Peak pre-dawn]

[poppies, goldfields, and lupine, outside of the reserve]

We all celebrated my baby niece's first birthday in Atlanta:

Having spent quality time with many of our dear friends in Southern California, the saddest part of our move was leaving them.

On our third trip to Boulder, Colorado we found a wonderful house in a small mountain community: population - 1500, elevation - 8233 feet above sea level. We bought it in the spring!

After our July 12th move, we spent time exploring our new backyard: the Indian Peaks Wilderness:

...and other nearby playgrounds in Colorado:

We also met with friends - old and new:

Come September, we visited with family in New Mexico and Colorado:

[Jeremy, his parents, and three crazy black dogs in the San Juans of Colorado]

...and had family visit with us:

Autumn was spectacular:

We took another trip to the South for our niece and nephew fix.

Soon after, we welcomed true winter and powder in the Rockies:

[mush! Jeremy gets his nordic legs back in fresh powder]

[one of the many reasons we moved here - a view of the Indian Peaks from Niwot Ridge]

December finds us making good use of the kitchen, getting the tele gear out, loving each day in our new home, and thinking of friends and family.

We wish you the very best for the coming year. Health, Happiness, Good Fortune, and Good Luck.

with love,
Jennifer, Jeremy, and Kaweah
