copyright
I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to write this page… but it turns out that several individuals as well as commercial groups deem it perfectly acceptable to steal my images from my site and post them on their own site without obtaining my permission - despite my copyright notice at the top and bottom of every page! It is not acceptable. It is illegal (and it’s damn rude).
If you have ads on your blog, you have a commercial blog. Don’t even think of posting my images without getting my permission first.
My work is protected under the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) of 1998 and so is the work of many other people.
Here are my rules:
- You may not reproduce any graphical content on my site without my written permission. Send me an email:

- ALL material on this blog (and any other website of mine) is copyright Jennifer Yu 2004-2008. Even without the copyright notice, my images and content are protected by law as mine.
- Hotlinking is turned off. Stealing an image is bad enough, stealing bandwidth just adds insult to injury.

What am I likely to approve?
- Non-commercial personal sites.
- Educational purposes.
- Good causes.
But you should still ask first or I just become ornery and less inclined to be nice. I’m sure the majority of individuals are completely clueless about these issues, in which case, I hope this will be somewhat educational.
So thanks for reading this far and thank you for respecting my Intellectual Property Rights. The whole point of my blog is to share my love of food with others. Let’s get back to the task at hand.
