Hot Crab Dip

Background

This is a mutated version of some web recipes. Serve hot with slices of good french bread and a good white wine. The better quality crab meat, the better the dip - but it is all good.

Recipe

2 cans crab meat (12 oz.)
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup sour cream (8 oz.)
1 cup mayonnaise (8 oz.)
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups parmesan cheese, grated
sliced almonds

Beat cream cheese and crab meat until well-mixed. Stir in sour cream, parmesan, mayonnaise and garlic. Pour into a 9-inch round baking dish. Sprinkle almonds and extra parmesan (2 tbsp) on top. Bake at 350 degrees F for an hour.
