Stir Fried Flank Steak

Background

This is one of the first things I learned to cook from my mom. This is her recipe.

Recipe

1 lb flank steak, sliced at angle against grain
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp corn starch
3 cloves garlic, chopped into halves or thirds
3 stalks green onions, cut in 2 inch slices
vegetable oil

Mix flank steak slices with soy sauce, sesame oil and cornstarch in a bowl. Set aside. Heat about 1 tbsp oil in frying pan. Add garlic and onions and stir fry for thirty seconds. Add meat and stir fry until browned. Serve.

Notes

I like to serve this over stir fried broccoli. It's great with rice.
