Jeremy&#8217;s parents got a new puppy shortly before we paid them a visit in the fall. This baby piranha muppet is mostly hair, some sharp teeth, and a boopable nose, with a side of puppy. Yuki was perplexed. She still is. Jeremy&#8217;s mom is a great home baker and her birthday was nigh. Unsolved mystery: nobody bakes birthday cakes for bakers. Jen set out to remedy that with a 4-layer carrot cake in chocolate cream cheese frosting (it&#8217;s a great combo, people). Birthday girl with her bespoke cake (right)! (October 2025 &#8211; Pagosa Springs)<\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jenyu.net\/newyear\/2025_crf\/crf_7-25.jpg\"><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"caption\">The week before Christmas, Jen&#8217;s niece came to Crested Butte and spent 4 days skiing, sampled our favorite restaurants, caught up on the best Wes Anderson movies (The Grand Budapest Hotel and Fantastic Mr. Fox &#8211; don&#8217;t @ us!) and KPop Demon Hunters, and got plenty of naps. Colorado Ski Vacation: 10\/10 would recommend.
