San Jose December 2005

After my huge conference in San Francisco, I was able to spend a little time visiting with Grops in San Jose and with Elena who flew up from New Mexico for a joint visit.
I caught the first morning train out of San Francisco to San Jose.
From the train station, Elena drove us to the San Jose Public Library to show Grops how to use the computer and access the internet.
After some coffee and conversation, we set off for the next destination that morning.
Dim sum - mmmmmm!
The weather was perfect, as usual.
Picking fresh bamboo shoots at Ranch 99.
We visited the Buddhist temple and made offerings for Kris and Uncle Litton.
This is the shrine where Grops pays to have Kris' and Uncle Litton's names placed on special occasions.
Grops teaches me how to pick out tender pea shoots properly.
The three of us enjoy a pose at Grops' place.
