Nicola – If you haven’t been to Yosemite before, the valley is a great place to start – but be warned that it is insanely busy late May through mid September. Driving around the valley floor there are several places to stop and view waterfalls, outcrops (like El Capitan, Half Dome, etc.), meadows, trees. Lots of trails originate from the valley as well if you like to hike. My personal preference is to backpack… particularly in the off-season.
Your photos truly capture the stunning majesty of Yosemite. Having been there years ago, before it was “discovered” by tourists, years later in the spring, later still in winter – truly gorgeous in its silence, robed in snow, I loved seeing a favorite place in fall…something I haven’t experienced. Thank you for sharing your incredible pictures.

I don’t know if it was the location, the workshop, or just a good day, but these photos are striking even by your normal standards. Wow.

Amazing! The fog photos are just breath taking.
In the third photo from the top, do you remember which falls these are?
