aspen stand
Colorado boasts stunning aspen forests in the western part of the state. In autumn, these stands (some are the largest in the world) are ablaze in gold, orange, and red. Photographers from around the world flock to the beautiful Rocky Mountains in the hopes of capturing a small fraction of this yearly splendor. September 2007.
