remnant scarf

I made this on a lark while looking at my bag of remnants. It is knit in garter stitch and ends up being about 6 feet long with the tassels (be sure to add extra tassels - it's so pretty!). I was very fond of it while I was knitting the scarf, but have given several away to others. You don't have to follow the pattern exactly, in fact, you should just use your best judgement and knit according to which yarn looks good next to other yarns and how their textures will feel. One note: I used rayon/acrylic chenille - I will never use that stuff to knit a scarf again, it worms. Luckily, the scarf is full of novelty yarns so you can't really notice it as a defect. I switched to cotton chenille for the next rows which didn't worm at all.

Quantity: No more than one of each skein
Needles: size 11, 29" circular

Pattern:
Cast on 175 stitches somewhat loosely.
Knit 3 rows with Yarn 1.
Don't forget to leave an 8 inch tail when you end a yarn. I knot it together with the new yarn (also has an 8 inch tail).
Knit 2 rows with Yarn 2.
Knit 1 row with Yarn 2 and Yarn 3 together.
Knit 3 rows with Yarn 3.
Knit 3 rows with Yarn 4.
Knit 1 row with Yarn 5 (it's all I had left otherwise I would have done 2 rows).
Knit 3 rows with Yarn 6.
Knit 2 rows with Yarn 1.
Knit 3 rows with Yarn 7.
Knit 1 row with Yarn 7 and Yarn 8 together.
Knit 2 rows with Yarn 8.
Knit 2 rows with Yarn 9.
Knit 3 rows with Yarn 2.
Knit 3 rows with Yarn 6.
Knit 3 rows with Yarn 1.
Bind off.
Tie on more tails to round out distribution. I don't trim them to even lengths (I like them uneven).
6 feet by 6 inches.
