2025 cutting room floor
We bring you special programming for this year’s installment of the cutting room floor. Lest our photo cards give you the impression that all we ever do is play outside and eat, we wanted to let you know that we also spend time with family… playing outside and eating.

We went to see Jeremy’s parents for some spring maintenance and personal cheffing, and happily overlapped with a visit from Aunt Judi and Uncle Bill! (May 2025 – Pagosa Springs, Colorado)

Here comes DOUGAL! Jeremy’s parents got a new puppy shortly before we paid them a visit in the fall. This baby piranha muppet is mostly hair, some sharp teeth, and a boopable nose, with a side of puppy. Yuki was perplexed. She still is. (October 2025 – Pagosa Springs).
A birthday cake for a baker (left). Jeremy’s mom is a great home baker and her birthday was nigh. Unsolved mystery: nobody bakes birthday cakes for bakers. Jen set out to remedy that with a 4-layer carrot cake in chocolate cream cheese frosting (it’s a great combo, people). Birthday girl with her bespoke cake! (October 2025 – Pagosa Springs)
The week before Christmas Jen’s niece came to Crested Butte and spent 4 days skiing, sampled our favorite restaurants, caught up on the best Wes Anderson movies (The Grand Budapest Hotel and Fantastic Mr. Fox – don’t @ us!) and KPop Demon Hunters, and got plenty of naps. Colorado Ski Vacation: 10/10 would recommend. (December 2025 – Crested Butte)
Boxing Day lunch at Jen’s parents’ house followed by a friendly poker session in which Jen CLEANED UP! (December 2025 – Boulder, Colorado)
